WHO WE ARE
The Alma Domestic Violence Foundation strives to educate, empower and celebrate survivors of domestic violence while helping them to achieve financial stability, self-sufficiency and an understanding that they are never alone on their journeys.
WHAT WE
BELIEVE IN
Our Vision
To aid in the eradication of domestic violence globally and to educate the public about its continued efforts while creating a safe haven for victims to feel secure, supported and hopeful.
HOW WE HELP
Social & Mental Health Services
We provide advocacy, counseling, legal assistance and safety planning to victims as a foundation for rebuilding a new life filled with hope and happiness.
Job Placement
We have direct services and the training to provide pre-employment and work maturity skills (hygiene, resume writing and interview guidance) that will assist in job placement within the community of our trusted corporate partners.
Financial Literacy
We educate our survivors with the financial tools to be able to confidently plan and maintain a future of security and stability.
Education & Training
We develop educational plan for each victim based on their end goals while providing the security they may need to focus without distraction or fear.
Events & Updates
Dinner for Divas
Dinner for Divas honors 150 women and girls (ages 13+) who have survived the brutality of domestic abuse and who are currently residing in shelters. We celebrate their continued perseverance, strength and dedication to rebuilding their lives with a day of personalized pampering and an unforgettable evening creating memories that last a lifetime.
Tickets for Dinner for Divas on Saturday November 9, 2024 are available now.
Saving Survivors on the Green
Our annual charity golf tournament is held in support of domestic violence survivors who need assistance in meeting their most critical needs after fleeing a domestic violence incident. Join Atlanta’s top corporate leaders and golf enthusiasts for a day of fun and giving back to our community.
Walk a Mile in Their Shoes
Walk a Mile in Their Shoes host participants from across the country to advocate against domestic violence. Supporters run a 5K or walk a mile in honor or memory of someone affected by domestic violence.
Registration for our 5k race on Saturday, October 5, 2024 is now open.
