Alma provides direct services and training to victims including pre-employment and work maturity skills, financial literacy, healthcare and social services.
We also work with survivors by helping them find residency in local shelters and job placement within our established community of corporate partners.
Across the country, we support shelters and work with victims of domestic violence (women, men and children) currently residing in shelters and those in transition. In Georgia, we work with facilities across the state in several counties.
We also work directly with students in middle and high school, colleges and universities regarding dating violence prevention and education. We provide hospitals with domestic violence transitional services to include post discharge assistance and holistic wellness care.
In addition, we sponsor annual events within the community, including our Walk a Mile in Their Shoes, Saving Survivors on the Green, The National Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse Survivors Conference and Dinner for Divas.
HOW WE HELP
Social & Mental Health Services
We provide advocacy, counseling, legal assistance and safety planning to victims as a foundation for rebuilding a new life filled with hope and happiness.
Job Placement
We have direct services and the training to provide pre-employment and work maturity skills (hygiene, resume writing and interview guidance) that will assist in job placement within the community of our trusted corporate partners.
Financial Literacy
We educate our survivors with the financial tools to be able to confidently plan and maintain a future of security and stability.
Education & Training
We develop educational plan for each victim based on their end goals while providing the security they may need to focus without distraction or fear.
Volunteer to Change Lives
Time Well Spent
The success of our events relies heavily on the generous amount of time our volunteers provide. We would love to have you join our team of earth angels.
